Just waiting for the first copy of my book to come so I can check the errors on it or hopefully no errors from the layers and fonts. So far I'm proud of myself because this book show that I can be patient to my passion and career. I can wait to see the print of the book so I can promote it and also share it to the world !

This my first Showcase in CSUEB for "Khmr Fashion", for my showcase of "Nature of Oakland" will be more frames and also a bigger spot, plus a lot of promoted to get it going !!! I need to do well on sales online and also "Public" I will also put flyers around the hiking trail in Oakland California. This will show the world that Oakland has a pretty cool Forest.

The book is done !!! I'm kinda upset at the price the shipping and tax wow kill it !!! 10.00 ;( and the book will come in 2 different size. Soft box $60.00 and WRAP $75.00 yea I know the price is too high !!! but I know I got some hardcore fans that willing to support because this is my first item I will promote to sell. the more sells I can buy packs which will be over 50 books and I set my own price and sell it in the Oakland Market with my sale permit. But I'm happy is finally done and waiting for the first copy to come and looking for errors so I can fix it. My mom willing to take the chance ;) and bless me good luck in the sales... I won't give people the link yet and 1-2 weeks I will.

At the moment of the book, so hard to find help. IF someone tell me they want to work with me please put 100%, this is not just my art-work but also my living. I really need to work on my writing so I can do it my self next-time. I just need 11-12 more pages to fix, I be done and finally can start selling the book. I'm very upset. at myself but also asking for someone to help me when that person does not understand this book mean alot to me. I will also donate to his program which is 75 cents per sell.. This is going to slow me down from my freelance and also my book.

Up at night with my cousin working on a few pages, having a small break... So far to make it match the photo and the writing. Hopefully next book going to be more fun and hard-working. I want my viewers + fans + support + buyers to read and look at the photo's, that's my goal for this book.

So whats going to happen after my book is completed? "Nature of Oakland" I will work on my website to build my career as a blogger + contractor by my resume and portfolio. I will also do another small book to boost traffic and skill in the urban  street of Oakland. I will start working on my 2 main blog business "Vixen of Queen" and "RF FASHION" <- Both will run with blogger and tumblr to boost traffic and networking. Also using my book I can get people to invest into the printing which will be seasonal . But yea I feel good book is 99% done ;) o yea !!!

INTRODUCTION IN BOOK

"Growing up in Oakland California, living the urban life, I never notice Oakland has a nature area and also my friends was shock with the images I shot. One day I wanted to take photo of the whole Oakland by going directly to the Oakland Hills. I notice two parks in Oakland “Leona Heights Park” with amazing water and also “Joaquin Miller Park” with prefect sun reflection. I have been hiking in the Oakland Hills for 2 years to learn more about the landscape. I have been looking for great images and studying the season of Oakland to capture the moment I see to share the Oakland Community and also the world. Oakland is turning into more of a city and an urban area for resident, my goal is to share the “Nature of Oakland” because I don't know how long nature in Oakland will last. I’m happy that I capture the time here in the Oakland Hills and one day I will continue my quest.  The book is broken down into 4 sections by having a spread sheet as a new chapter.".- Bullimalnna Sot

Hello, needed a self-portrait of myself for my “Nature of Oakland” book, wow I feel so happy with the layout and Going to find a date to release the book in a 2 weeks. I work so hard on this book and show how much passion, time, and motivation I did to make this happen. I don’t really know how much I will sell but I learn so much as an artist not just photographer or visual artist. I’m still young and I learn so many mistakes about my career… I just want to thank everyone for the support. Finally I can jump 100% to designing my new portfolio website for contract work. Catch a dream, turn it into a goal, and make it a career. I got a long way to go with networking, building my skills, and becoming a young entrepreneur… From the bottom to the TOP !!! 

This photo show a time-line, hopefully in 5-10 years I will have a better bed and location.

I learn so much, next book should be easier to do and hopefully my goal is to become a travel artist with contracts, gigs, sells, and of course getting paid while blogging. Need to take 1 step at a time.

The writing of the book is completed.. Remember folks this is a photo book with a few pages that has writing. Now I'm going to get a few folks to correct my grammar and make sure it look nice... I learn so much being a photographer.. what to do and not to do... shooting Nature, made me relax because this road isn't easy.. made me understand "The Human mind focus too much on the world gives and the media, the best way to escape that, quote “nature”, How long will the trees last in Oakland or around the around? Walking and looking enjoying the moment with nature plays a big role to society which brings direction to form the real beauty in life". I learn to become an artist not just a photographer. WOW !!! just came back from Long-Beach California  I had a wonderful time there and now back to finish my book. I had a lot of thinking to do about how I will sell it and try to make a way to gain fan-base. I learn that  I got use what sells now,

This is amazing sold this for $180.00 without my new layout website. This can help me invest into my showcase this upcoming fall. I need to sell,gigs,contracts, and invest into my art because is my passion and my career. Support your boy when the book come out price range from $55.00-60.00 this can help me invest more and build Jaya production. I can get a business loan but I want to feel 100% on the risk if I want my own studio one day. I will also love to get my master in MFA also while doing freelance work, the master can help me with business contracts in the future. I want to go high as the limit.. Almost done with my book "Nature of Oakland", 6 more pages of writing. I put a lot of thinking into the writing and why Nature play a big role to our mind. Cambodian New Year was fun and I choose to take a break from my book and now back on fixing it and making it look good. Almost done folks ;) thanks again for people who asking for an update. after this, I will work 100% on my new HTML5 design portfolio. gigs to contracts, companies pay for visual-artist 
took me a long time and I finally can feel confident on the new site and resume. MORE UPDATE SOON !!! the pay is good and I want it !
but back to my book. I learn so much about layout and taken better photo in the future for another upcoming book. I also got to bring a note-book to write how I feel about the shot, so next time I just can put it together with the coding and stuff.  LEARN AND GET BETTER !!! that's my motivation.

Still stuck on the writing part, I knew it will be hard for me because I want to use alot of writing skills to make it more interested to the buyers. I'm do what I can do make my support,customer,fans, ETC feel like the book is worth it and it is ! I will keep going and going. I will also print my first frame for a customer $150.00, very happy..
this book is a risk of investment from doing a showcase for art... after this book is completed more steps to it. thanks to my family and friends for getting the copy before I market it.. I will master all portraits to landscape and "self-portrait" one day in my life. main focus "social media to public marketing".... just got to remember I sacrifice a lot and got to keep pushing.. I'm a minority in a minority male figure so of course is gonna be harder.

Our current life can be up and down like any wave we flow through, is in our mind that can keep us flooding.

I also went to the book store to learn a few tricks on the layout and writing.

One of the coolest shot i took of a mushroom! Look so cool huh? Watching some old Chinese jet li film while edited. The writing look so nice and the layout look very professional. I will get the writing done this week with a few photo shoot and edited. 

I feel like my book can do well by the photo and writing here is one of the quote, "The sound of nature crying with beauty awaken the fresh air that walk in our emotion to cause the heart to love the art."

The reason why I had so long time to work on my book was because life and a lot of problem that didn't go the way I wanted. I'm thankful to put a few photo on line to help me with a few.; for example,  this photo was lost but I luckily found it online. I had a broken hard-drive  with a lot of photo in my work for Oakland.

I'm be very happy to finish this project. the sells and also the traffic from Blurb.com + Amazon which will connect to my .com. When the book is done I will also fix my tumblr.com account to get more traffic in my .com + this blog. Main focus is youth viewers and Adult buyers.

At the moment, working on my book. The writing will be hard and I need a lot of red-bull to make it happen. I need to make the writing interesting so people can get suck in and feel my photography, feel the moment when I was their taken the photo, waiting for the sun+shadow. I got to write it and also make sure the layout turn the way I want. Probably going to add more photo? or just make it happen? I don't know. but I'm keep pushing

Finally !!! finish the layout and starting the writing tonight. I believe the writing will be the hard part. I got alot of photoshoot going on this weekend and I need to use free time to write my book. I feel good and almost done. When the book start selling, work on my website to get contracts + gigs, then down payment on a showcase in Oakland in the fall of 2012, by then sell the book in the market in Oakland and promote until the fall !!! When the showcase come I will showoff the calendar for 2012 which will be the "Nature of Oakland" photos. I finally cane move on to my next project which will be a web- magazine base on "Vixen". 

I was looking at the front page to the end, I dont have a cover yet. so "Nature of Oakland" or Nature of Mother Oak"? I dont know haha, but I will start selling it to family and friends first then Amazon then hopefully I can sell it to colleges in the Eastbay.. I also got to know when the market come in Oakland.

Today I learn a lot about my book layout. I need to hit a good selling bot 1-2 months to help me redo my sale permit and my Business :L's  which can help me sell it in public stores + market in Oakland,CA  "PUBLIC", is will consider a business but I will make sure I will write it as a "hobby" for tax because I took most of the photo when I was in college. Blurb.com will help me alot so hopefully nothing will happen. Goal is to sell, promote,showcase, calendar. This will be a be jump in my art career as an artist because my website to my book will be very professional. When I start writing, I will make sure not to use "I", I want to reader or viewers, to feel like if they took the photo and how each image has a meaning. I will use poetry for the writing .

Almost done with the photo-layout, wow looking at my photo that I took 2 years and a year ago, wow I was very high just looking at my own art. This is the life I want. rapper sell CDS, photographer sells books + calendar. Rappers do concerts and Photographer do showcases. I will be there oneday !

I do not know if I want to add any filter to the photo for the book. I went to the book store and check out a few layout design from other book photographers. Writing is very important and from my story. I will start off from the waterfall, trees,light, and macro mode which = 75+ pages with WRITING !!! so happy I'm almost done and will start selling it on my page and here of course for $45.00-$50.00 still don't know how much Blurb.com will charge me for the print. I just need 20 more photo's I be done. then start the writing from day one. I also might need to redo my photo permit if I want to sell Oakland landscape around the world.

One of the photo from my book. I notice that this photo has a waterfall,sunset,rocks, and alot of cool shadows.. This might be the cover of my book. I don't know yet. But I remember shooting this, beause the sun was going down and I needed to find a way to shoo that waterfall on the top right, with the reflection from the sun hitting the little small water pond. I did it! Tripod and a nice HD Filter did the jump. Wish I had money to photograph it with a Full-Frame Camera. Well hopefully the sells of ths book can he me.

Everday of designing my layout, I wonder how much sell I will get? all this time and passion I put into my art. I have build a fan base around the world and in my Cambodian community. My goal is to do what I can and take photo of art. I will oneday go back to Cambodia and take wonderful photo of my ancient temples of Angkor to Bayon.
